Community Rules

We always try to find the right balance between an active and vibrant discussion and being inclusive to all, and feel we can distill this down into 2 simple rules:

  1. Empathize with each other as we communicate.
  2. Communicate with respect and understanding.

For those who want more Ts and Cs around it - jump on the below as we'll working within all of these as well - the above was just our take on what it means to us.

If you'd like a little more background to why we set those rules, then read on...

It may help to know who we are - DIRT Racing Series is run by 4 dads with busy jobs and exhausting families that we love dearly 🤣 . We love team racing on Zwift and enjoy the camaraderie of it and how it pushes us to keep our fitness up too! We love all our chat on Discord with our friends and frenemies and are particularly partial to a well played GIF 👏 . But we also want to make sure that's all within boundaries that ensures our community is a place that everyone can enjoy being.

When we're communicating with each other - we respect everyone and work very hard to be empathic with the person on the other end of the chat ... which is doubly important when it's text and you've never met them IRL. And fundamentally that's our ask of everyone. Just make sure you communicate in a way which ensures that the receiving person doesn't take offence. Respect the fact that they may be different to you and empathize with how they might feel to a message. If you're not sure - don't type it. Simples. And that led us to our 2 rules above and hope they create the community you all enjoy being part of.
