Join the DIRT Racing Series – Trial Races
Amongst the tons of useful feedback from Season 3 – one of the key questions had been about our use of half-categories and Zwiftpower-ranking for categorisation.
Whilst the majority of you did like what we did, there were still what we feel are significant minority groups who weren’t fans for one reason or another. One of those groups was those of you who felt we should move to a pure race ranking strategy.
We feel we need some more intel to make a final decision for what we do for Season 4 – so during the upcoming 2-week break in ZRL action we’ve decided to put on a couple of ZwiftRacing.app Trial Races to test out the race ranking categorisation.
The Trial Races are NOT team events, everyone can join as individual riders!
We’re only doing a single timezone for these trial races to keep it manageable for us:

How to join the Trial Races
Step 1: Setting yourself up on ZwiftRacing.app
To join https://www.zwiftracing.app – first visit the website and click on LOGIN in the top right:
Then you can choose whether to use Strava or Google as your login mechanism. If you don’t have either, then simply visit Google Account in order to create one and then come back.
Follow the login prompts for your method of choice and you’ll be back at the home page in a few clicks.
Now type your name into the Search Riders box in the top right and hit ENTER:
You will either go straight to your record if you are the only name matching your search – or be presented with a list of riders and you can click on your own record.
**If you can’t remember your latest zwiftpower name you can go straight to your rider record by putting your zwift id on the end of https://www.zwiftracing.app/riders/
So for a rider with Zwift ID “916206” that would be:
https://www.zwiftracing.app/riders/916206
Obvious but saying it anyway … just replace “916206” with your own Zwift ID 😎
When you get to your own page – simply click on CLAIM RIDER:
And the button will change to say RELEASE RIDER CLAIM. Don’t click it again as this tells you that you’re now associated with your zwiftracing.app rider ID.
Step 2: Joining the DRS Trial Races
Click on ZR Events on the left hand side and scroll to the DIRT Racing Series event:
